THE FIRST EXPERIENCE

Daria Kolesnyk, a second-year student of the major Marketing, already has experience in the International competition of student scientific works "Black Sea Science." Even though Daria participated in a competition for the first time, her scientific work on the topic "The influence of brands on consumer behavior. COVID-19 pandemic adjustments" ranked in the top 40 works in the field of Economics and administration.  The work was a worthy competition to other works, including ones from Kazakhstan, Belarus, and Moldova. The jury of the competition included specialists from Ukrainian and foreign institutions (Poland, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Belarus, Moldova, Romania, and Georgia). The jury evaluated Daria’s work at a fairly high level. It testifies to the powerful scientific potential of the student and her supervisor Liudmyla Saher.

NEW CLIMATE STRATEGY OF THE EUROPEAN UNION

As part of the Jean Monnet project "Carbon-free economy: best practices for Ukraine" (620232-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) Chygryn Olena and Pimonenko Tetyana conducted a webinar-training on "New Climate Strategy" of the European Union: goals and challenges ".

The participants of the online webinar got acquainted with the key targets and tasks of this strategy, discussed the topic of stimulating the creation of green jobs, discussed the EU's experience in reducing greenhouse gas emissions while growing the economy.

SELF-PRESENTATION IS A KEY TO SUCCESS!

In the frame of Marketing and Management of Knowledge classes (lecturer Nadia Artyukhova), on February 18, 2021, the head of the own advertising agency "Ya-mediabuyer", media buyer, architect of sales tunnels in messengers, Ph.D. Olena Yaroshenko was invited. The topic "How the expert can offer his services in the Internet space" was presented by speaker for the students of the Marketing Department.  During the speech, Olena has shared interesting and useful information about Internet marketing issues and methods of knowledge implementation in practice, presented valuable recommendations for activities in the field of Internet marketing. During the discussion Olena also has answered to students' questions.

 

BIBLIOMETRIC ANALYSIS: THE VOSVIEWER AND SCOPUS TOOLS

TRAINING “GREEN ENTREPRENEURSHIP: EU EXPERIENCE”

Tetyana Pimonenko and Oleksii Lyulyov provided the online training for students from the different speciality on the perspectives of green entrepreneurship in Ukraine in the framework of the project «EU policy for SMEs: perspectives and challenges for Ukraine» (619999-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE). In the beginning, the speakers told on the features of green entrepreneurship and incentive instruments on the EU examples. During the training, students were working in the team and generating ideas for green entrepreneurship. The multidisciplinary character of teams' members allowed developing creative ideas for green business and highlighting ecological and economic and social benefits of green entrepreneurship in Ukraine.

PRESENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM OF ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

From 1 to 4 February 2021, the International Conference on Academic Integrity "Honesty, Trust, Unity: Academic Integrity & Education in a Globalized World" was held online, where Artem Artyukhov presented the recommendations of the National Agency for the development of the university system of academic integrity and the structure of this system.

The conference discussed a number of issues, including plagiarism detection technology, the role of the teacher in preventing the manifestations of academic dishonesty of higher education students and the peculiarities of the formation of a culture of integrity in Ukraine.

KEY ELEMENTS OF CARBON-FREE ECONOMY

Doctoral student of the Department of Marketing Olena Chygryn conducted a series of webinars for students of economics in the framework of the J ean Monnet project "Carbon Neutral Economy: Best Practices for Ukraine" (620232-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE).
The participants of the online project discussed the problems of promoting the main stages of the implementation of this strategy:

- reducing energy use, improving living standards in developing countries by significantly improving energy efficiency and the transition to a circular economy;

LET'S CHANGE TOGETHER!

Students (gr. EN-92/2mk) and teachers (Liubov Syhyda and Liudmyla Saher) of the Department of Marketing in the study of Marketing Distribution Policy and Marketing Communications-2 on February 15, 2021 took part in the online marathon NO LIMITS: transformACTION 2021. This marathon started with presentations of practitioners specialists in the field of marketing, management, design, self-development. The speakers shared unique experiences, real cases, answered questions. Participants also noted an interesting approach to the presentation of material and practical advice for the development of their soft skills.

 

 

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT EUROPEAN COHESION POLICY?

In early February 2021, as part of the Jean Monnet project (620232-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) "EU Carbon-free economy: best practices for Ukraine", Associate Professor of Marketing Elena Chygryn gave a lecture on students of marketing "What do we know about European cohesion policy?"

The policy of cohesion of the European Union has interested everyone, because such an ideology of understanding economic processes is really effective. Within the framework of this topic the purpose, main tasks and stages of its realization are considered.

The discussion took place within the framework of the issue "Resource provision to bridge development gaps between different European regions, in accordance with the principle of solidarity." This means that our students are very interested in this area.

START OF THE STUDENTS' SCIENTIFIC RACE 2021

2021 has just started, but the students of the Department of Marketing are already on the way to conquering new scientific heights. Thus, our proactive students prepared scientific works for participation in the All-Ukrainian contests of scientific works and the International contest of students' scientific works. All works release burning problems and challenges of modernity and offer practical solutions to revise these problems.

We wish victories and inspiration to move further to the scientific stage!

 

EU BUSINESS-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT: EXPERIENCE FOR UKRAINE

February has started with lectures and training on opportunities for small and medium enterprises in Ukraine for students from Economics, Management, Marketing, Information Technologies and Engineering (in the framework of the project “EU policy for SMEs: perspectives and challenges for Ukraine” 619999-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE). Speakers Oleksiy Lyulyov and Tetyana Pimonenko presented the features of the business environment developing in EU countries, successful cases that could guide Ukrainian business. During the training, students discussed the role of small and medium enterprises in developing the country's economy. Under the training, all students were divided in the group with equal members from different specialities. Each group were discussing options and challenges for developing small and medium enterprises in Ukraine. As a result, students presented ideas on the future development of small and medium business in Ukraine.

 

INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION OF MARKETOLOGISTS AND SUMY CITY COUNCIL

 Teachers of the Department of Marketing Anna Rosakhata and Lilia Khomenko in the framework of interdisciplinary cooperation began to get acquainted with the peculiarities of brand Sumy promotion. Thus, on February 15, students met online with the Representative of the Department of Promotion and Tourism of Sumy City Council Tetyana Zakrevska, who shared her experience and interests in positioning the city's brand in the citizens minds.

Students were invited to take part in an interactive quest "Interesting Sumy" using modern marketing information technology.

And it is just the beginning. Then the winners will be determined and will be awarded memorable gifts from the Sumy City Council.

LEARNING HONESTLY - SUCCESS IN YOUR FUTURE PROFESSION

Associate Professor of Marketing Department Artem Artyukhov took part in a project for high school students "I choose my future" with a speech "Issues of integrity: I want to study honestly." Artem spoke about the virtues of academic integrity, why it is necessary to take on the responsible mission of whistleblower, the detector of violations of integrity, what harm can bring plagiarism in education.

In his speech, Artem noted:

«Integrity is the observance of six fundamental values during training: honesty, trust, respect, justice, responsibility and courage. Young person, who stands on a virtuous path must realize that it is difficult. There may be calls from all sides, even from friends, to simplify their studies through fraud. Learning honestly is much harder than getting grades by breaking the rules.
