MARKETING STUDENTS FIRST AT THE ADVERTISING FIELD OF UKRAINE

At the end of June 2021, the Odesa National Academy of Food Technologies hosted a creative battle "Advertising Landfill".  Among 10 teams from different universities of Ukraine, first place was won by the marketing department of Sumy State University. As a task PepsiCo Ukraine, on the topic "Formation of ecological culture of behaviour on the beaches", the solution of which students had to prepare for 36 hours.

Only practising advertisers and marketers were invited to join the jury:

? creative director of Saathchi & Saathchi Ukraine & Publicis Group Ukraine, owner of the Silver Cannes Lion (2021) Konstantin Schneider;

? Senior brand manager at PepsiCo Ukraine Elizabeth Grushko

ENVIRONMENTAL PRIORITY IS A PRIORITY: MARKETOLOGISTS AT THE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE

On June 17, 2021, teachers of the Department of Marketing took part in the international online conference "Priorities in the new green course of the EU", which took place on the occasion of the European Green Week at the Institute of Law and Administration of Marie Curie-Skladowska University (Poland).

 

The event raised issues of success and prospects for further development of the Sustainable Development Goals strategy, protection and formation of the environment, new vectors for the development of responsible production and management of production resources, as well as the prospects of the European green course.

NEW ACHIEVEMENTS OF THE RULL

Participation in professional associations is a recognition of high qualifications.

Marketers became members of the Ukrainian Marketing Association, which is the first professional association of marketers in Ukraine.

MARKETOLOGISTS AT THE EXHIBITION IN KYIV

Marketers visited the exhibition-conference Packaging Innovations 2021, which took place in Kyiv. Students had the opportunity to communicate with managers of large FMCG companies, development directors, heads of marketing departments, top managers of packaging companies, manufacturers and suppliers of polymer materials, problem specialists packaging waste disposal.

 

Within the framework of Packaging Innovations 2021, panel discussions were held, during which students had the opportunity to participate in the discussion of topical issues. Oleksandr Alexandrov, Director of the Dow Representative Office in Ukraine, presented the topic: "Packaging technologies for the problems of the circular economy." Oleksandr Bartle, Regulatory Policy Manager for Ukraine, Armenia and Moldova Coca-Cola Beverages Ukraine talks about practical cases of sustainable packaging waste management in Ukraine.

Relentless graduate student Yana Us received confirmation of one of the most prestigious scholarships from the Visegrad Foundation. 

Yana was among the lucky seven graduate students of economic specialities of Ukraine, who will study at leading universities in the Visegrad Four.

ONE MORE VICTORY IN THE TREASURY

We continue to receive results on All-Ukrainian competitions of scientific works. At the beginning of May, a scientific-practical conference of the second stage of the second round of the speciality "Economics and Management of the National Economy" was held, where according to the results of the evaluation, marketers won 3rd place.

The DOM team congratulates Anastasia Nazarenko (supervisor - Oleksiy Lyulyov), who achieves such relentless results while studying in the 2nd year.

HOW TO FALL IN LOVE WITH YOUR HOMETOWN?

After long-distance classes, I want to see everyone and be in the fresh air as much as possible. Therefore, classes for third-year students in "Marketing of territories" decided to hold on the street - in the city centre. They also invited second-year students and the unsurpassed guide Natalia. For an hour and a half, everyone immersed themselves in the past and "met" the city's founders, patrons and their families, student activists, hussars, guerrillas, ordinary people and even ghosts. And they also saw and felt for themselves how to promote the city and fall in love with locals and guests of the city.

BEST YOUNG SCIENTISTS: MARKETOLOGISTS IN THE FIRST POSITIONS

It is a pleasure to do science at SumDU, because this work is always evaluated and supported at every stage of the project. The annual competition "Best Young Scientists" in 2021 is a scientific "Oscar" that every scientist wants to receive for their hard work.

 

The team of DOM congratulates Oleksiy Lyulyov and Tetyana Pimonenko with incredible results - the first and second places among all scientific and scientific-pedagogical workers of SSU. According to the results of the evaluation, the restless marketers received almost 350 points each, which allowed them to become the best among the best.

RESTLESS AT A SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR ON A CURRENT TOPIC

May 21, 2021, is not just a beautiful date for the restless but is associated with the first inspiring meeting with a colleague from Italy, a professor at the University of Napoli Federico II, Vincenzo Alfano. The online workshop focused on the social and economic changes caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The speaker paid special attention to the issue of the influence of political culture on the effectiveness of measures to counteract the negative impact of the epidemic. The study is interesting for its cross-regionality because when conducting an empirical study, a number of European countries were taken into account.

WEBINAR BY JEAN MONET PROJECT

Jeanne Monet's project "Carbon Neutral Economy: Best Practices for Ukraine" (620232-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) is being implemented at the Department of Marketing. Leonov Serhiy and Chyhryn Olena conducted an online seminar on "EU Legislation and Policy on Environmental Protection and Climate Change". The participants of the seminar got acquainted with the main components of European legislation, goals and strategies of the European Union in the field of environmental protection and climate change.

EUMMAS: collaboration meeting

Researchers from the Department of Marketing took part in a webinar from the European Marketing and Management Association (EUMMAS).

 

Participants presented their educational institutions and discussed ways of future cooperation.

THINK ABOUT ONE, BUY ANOTHER…

The human brain is a complex mechanism. However, the restless challenge themselves to unravel the mysteries and learn all the intricacies of the consumer's brain when making a decision.

An excellent opportunity was an online lecture by Regina Wetskalne, who is a researcher at Riga Technical University ??, a psychologist. Students, graduate students and teachers enthusiastically discussed the workings of the brain why consumer choice is often irrational and what drives it how knowledge of neuromarketing will help maximize profits.

The topic turned out to be especially interesting and ignited a thirst for deeper knowledge!
