LET'S CHANGE TOGETHER!

Students (gr. EN-92/2mk) and teachers (Liubov Syhyda and Liudmyla Saher) of the Department of Marketing in the study of Marketing Distribution Policy and Marketing Communications-2 on February 15, 2021 took part in the online marathon NO LIMITS: transformACTION 2021. This marathon started with presentations of practitioners specialists in the field of marketing, management, design, self-development. The speakers shared unique experiences, real cases, answered questions. Participants also noted an interesting approach to the presentation of material and practical advice for the development of their soft skills.

 

 

START OF THE STUDENTS' SCIENTIFIC RACE 2021

2021 has just started, but the students of the Department of Marketing are already on the way to conquering new scientific heights. Thus, our proactive students prepared scientific works for participation in the All-Ukrainian contests of scientific works and the International contest of students' scientific works. All works release burning problems and challenges of modernity and offer practical solutions to revise these problems.

INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION OF MARKETOLOGISTS AND SUMY CITY COUNCIL

 Teachers of the Department of Marketing Anna Rosakhata and Lilia Khomenko in the framework of interdisciplinary cooperation began to get acquainted with the peculiarities of brand Sumy promotion. Thus, on February 15, students met online with the Representative of the Department of Promotion and Tourism of Sumy City Council Tetyana Zakrevska, who shared her experience and interests in positioning the city's brand in the citizens minds.

Students were invited to take part in an interactive quest "Interesting Sumy" using modern marketing information technology.

And it is just the beginning. Then the winners will be determined and will be awarded memorable gifts from the Sumy City Council.

PRESENTATION OF RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE UNIVERSITY SYSTEM OF ACADEMIC INTEGRITY

From 1 to 4 February 2021, the International Conference on Academic Integrity "Honesty, Trust, Unity: Academic Integrity & Education in a Globalized World" was held online, where Artem Artyukhov presented the recommendations of the National Agency for the development of the university system of academic integrity and the structure of this system.

The conference discussed a number of issues, including plagiarism detection technology, the role of the teacher in preventing the manifestations of academic dishonesty of higher education students and the peculiarities of the formation of a culture of integrity in Ukraine.

INTENSIVE FROM MARKETERS: WE INCREASE THE QUALIFICATION OF TEACHERS OF DOMESTIC universities

Working together always pays off. For the last two weeks, the Department of Marketing, together with the Certification training, has been training teachers of domestic universities Maria Minchenko's in-service training program.

The desire to be on the same wavelength with users of educational services is not an easy task. Modern marketing trends and lifestyles really work in the web-space and help in career guidance, to find new users of additional paid services, to attract the attention of stakeholders, to build a single recognizable style of the department, faculty, individual unit or HEI as a whole.

 

WHAT DO WE KNOW ABOUT EUROPEAN COHESION POLICY?

In early February 2021, as part of the Jean Monnet project (620232-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) "EU Carbon-free economy: best practices for Ukraine", Associate Professor of Marketing Elena Chygryn gave a lecture on students of marketing "What do we know about European cohesion policy?"

The policy of cohesion of the European Union has interested everyone, because such an ideology of understanding economic processes is really effective. Within the framework of this topic the purpose, main tasks and stages of its realization are considered.

The discussion took place within the framework of the issue "Resource provision to bridge development gaps between different European regions, in accordance with the principle of solidarity." This means that our students are very interested in this area.

WE ACTIVATE ALL THE POSSIBILITIES OF INTERNATIONAL MOBILITY!

The Department of Marketing opens all opportunities for its students that are currently available. One of these is the opportunity to study within the framework of international mobility, starting from the first year. This year, Alexander Romaschenko, a student of marketing, began his academic mobility program at the University of Szczecin (Szczecin, Poland). At the same time, Alexander is an active student of the Department of Marketing at SumDU, as evidenced by his fairly high academic performance and creativity in solving problems. We wish all students inspiration and perseverance on the wave of our constant changes!

 

 

EU BUSINESS-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT: EXPERIENCE FOR UKRAINE

February has started with lectures and training on opportunities for small and medium enterprises in Ukraine for students from Economics, Management, Marketing, Information Technologies and Engineering (in the framework of the project “EU policy for SMEs: perspectives and challenges for Ukraine” 619999-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE). Speakers Oleksiy Lyulyov and Tetyana Pimonenko presented the features of the business environment developing in EU countries, successful cases that could guide Ukrainian business. During the training, students discussed the role of small and medium enterprises in developing the country's economy. Under the training, all students were divided in the group with equal members from different specialities. Each group were discussing options and challenges for developing small and medium enterprises in Ukraine. As a result, students presented ideas on the future development of small and medium business in Ukraine.

 

PRACTICAL TRAINING "THE EU ROLE IN DEVELOPING CARBON-FREE ECONOMY" IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE JEAN MONNET MODULE "EU CARBON-FREE ECONOMY: BEST PRACTICES FOR UKRAINE"

The executives of Jean Monnet Module "EU Carbon-free economy: best practices for Ukraine" (620232-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE) Tetyana Pimonenko and Yana Us organized a lecture-discussion devoted to the retrospective review of scientific publications in the field of the carbon-free economy for undergraduate and PhD students. The seminar provided the participants with an opportunity to discover the high-quality works of scientists worldwide and establish the relationship between the carbon-free economy development, climate change, and EU initiatives. The researchers Olexiy Lyulyov and Maria Minchenko joined to discuss the EU role in developing carbon-free economy and promoting an environmentally conscious lifestyle in society.

LEARNING HONESTLY - SUCCESS IN YOUR FUTURE PROFESSION

Associate Professor of Marketing Department Artem Artyukhov took part in a project for high school students "I choose my future" with a speech "Issues of integrity: I want to study honestly." Artem spoke about the virtues of academic integrity, why it is necessary to take on the responsible mission of whistleblower, the detector of violations of integrity, what harm can bring plagiarism in education.

In his speech, Artem noted:

«Integrity is the observance of six fundamental values during training: honesty, trust, respect, justice, responsibility and courage. Young person, who stands on a virtuous path must realize that it is difficult. There may be calls from all sides, even from friends, to simplify their studies through fraud. Learning honestly is much harder than getting grades by breaking the rules.

MARKETERS ON PROMETHEUS

The educational space needs constant changes. The topic of academic integrity is of interest to teachers, guarantors of educational programs, heads of departments, management of institutions that want to ensure high-quality education and prepare competitive graduates in the labour market. Responding to the challenges, the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, together with the NGO Higher Education and the Saxon Center for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education, created a free course on Strengthening Teaching and Organizational Management in Universities on the PROMETHEUS platform.

Associate Professor of Marketing Artem Artyukhov became one of the lecturers of this course and presented not only theoretical developments but also practical cases, as a result of successful implementation of the program to ensure the quality of education and academic integrity at SSU.
