LECTURE FROM POLAND COLLEAGUES

This week, professors of the Department of Marketing from Poland held an informative online lecture on "Corporate social responsibility and business ethics". Our students and graduate students had an excellent opportunity to learn more about:

- EU experience in the development of corporate social responsibility;

- solving ethical problems in doing business;

- ethics in marketing activities;

- compliance ethics norms in advertising and PR activities;

PUBLIC LECTURE "SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP: EU EXPERIENCE"

On 12 April 2021, Tetyana Pimonenko and Oleksiy Lyulyov held an open public lecture on social entrepreneurship development in the EU for students and graduate students. Under the project, "EU policy for SMEs: perspectives and challenges for Ukraine" (619999-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE), the Poland experts were invited to present the EU experience in developing social entrepreneurship, considering requirements of sustainable development. The speakers presented corporate social responsibility models, outlined the main ethical issues of doing business in a highly competitive environment. In the lecture framework, the participants were informed of the employer's responsibilities and the negative consequences of contravention of business ethics principles. The audience members participated in the active discussion and formed a socially responsible businessman's profile under the current conditions.

MARKETING IS OPEN TO EVERYONE

Marketers are always ready to help colleagues. This week was full to the brim, as daily marketing intensives took place within the framework of the implementation of the program of advanced training of Maria Minchenko "From entrant to student: marketing of the educational program".
The case method of covering problematic issues with real practical recommendations allowed to reveal many interesting ways to promote educational programs.
We are very pleased that we were able to show in action many mechanisms to attract the attention of potential consumers, which can already be used today in the introductory campaign of 2021 and start building work for 2022.

 

MARKETER ACHIEVEMENTS AT THE ADVERTISING FEST

This week, marketers received long-awaited certificates confirming participation in the V International Competition for Students and Schoolchildren "ADVERTISING-FEST".
Such competitions allow you to pump the skills of creative development, critical thinking, working with cases, and our work was marked by the jury as a ready-made advertising product that can already be brought to market. For marketers, this is the highest award that can be obtained from a highly respected competition jury.

 

 

ON THE WAVE OF CHANGE: MARKETERS DISCUSS 3RD-PARTY COOKIES

Tomorrow will be different and marketers are ready for it. On April 2, 5th year students within the discipline of Maria Minchenko "Advertising Management" were involved in the discussion of the urgent problem of advertisers - the world after 3rd-party cookies.
The discussion was heated, as addressing contextual, behavioural, and demographic targeting, retargeting, and browsing history-based targeting is now paramount for marketers. Changing tools of influence and actions of software add-ons in 2022 make the adjustments and it is necessary to be on a wave of changes.

 

CONGRATULATIONS WITH THE VICTORY: MARKETOLOGISTS FIRST IN SSU

One might say that 2020 was difficult and unpredictable, remote and limited, not like everyone else. That's right - not like everyone else…

In the annual ranking of SSU departments, the DOM team received the highest award - the leader of the university.

We are very pleased that all our efforts and daily hard work have allowed us to become a model in many respects.

Every time they talk about today's challenges, marketers see them as challenges. We are proud of the achievements of each member of the team and are not going to stop, because the restless - this is the style of our life, without which we can not be who we are today!

ABOUT MARKETING OF A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE ON THE WORLD HEALTH DAY

Marketologs of SumDU are always "on the wave" of world trends. The pandemic, changes in consumer sentiments, the desire to maintain good health, and even though April 7 is World Health Day… We just couldn't stay away! And to have an extraordinary practical lesson with second-year marketing students together with the Senior Lecturer of the Department of Marketing Letunovska N.Ye. we invited to the online meeting the founder of the brand GZ_team, leading masterclasses on healthy living and holistic health coach Elena Kretzschmar. During the meeting, she shared her experiences of promoting the brand in the field of health and the peculiarities of health product marketing.

RESEARCH INTEGRITY FOR FOREIGN GRADUATE STUDENTS

In March, 2021 foreign graduate students of the Institute of BiEM became participants in a series of interactive classes within the course "Research Integrity". The course was prepared by the joint efforts of teachers of the departments of marketing - Artem Artyukhov and applied mathematics and modelling of complex systems - Yuri Volk in the framework of the Academic Integrity Promotion Group.

The course aims to acquaint the graduate student with the basic virtues of research integrity and to form the basis for the acquisition of basic competencies that prevent the manifestations of research integrity.

THERE WILL BE NO PROBLEMS IF YOU DO NOT CREATE THEM

It is the name of the webinar which was joined by 2nd and 3rd-year students during the disciplines of "Marketing Pricing" (teacher Liliia Khomenko) and "Marketing Services" (teacher Anna Rosokhata).

Eugen Leibov, Head of Marketing "Reface" shared cases, failures, and their solutions. He told listeners how to become №1 in the American App Store and occupy the top positions in 100+ countries in less than a year and a half. How to engage using a mobile application, to propagate free through celebrities, to manage traffic in case of rapid growth, what to analyze, how to grow as a team, what is the profit from TOP-1 in the App Store and Google Play ... About this and much more students learned from the event. This experience can enrich students' knowledge of promoting services through mobile applications.

DUAL MODEL OF ACADEMIC ADVISING

PhD students of the Department of Marketing have a unique opportunity to research under two scientific supervisors' supervision.

On March 19, 2021, the PhD students and their scientific supervisors from SumDU and Poland (Jan Polczyn (Stanisław State Staszic University of Applied Sciences in Piła), Radoslaw Mishkiewicz (Silesian University of Technology), Piotr Lis (Poznań University of Economics and Business) and Sebastian (Poznań University of Economics and Business)) took in a scientific online seminar.

Within a scientific event, a second-year PhD student, Yana Us, presented the first results of research on "Energy efficiency profiles in developing the free-carbon economy: on the example of Ukraine and the V4 countries."

MEMBERSHIP IN THE EUROPEAN MARKETING AND MANAGEMENT ASSOCIATION

On 1 April 2021, the Department of Marketing received a joyful message with congratulations. Oleksiy Lyulyov, Olena Chyhryn and Yana Us became members of the European Marketing and Management Association. The restless marketers always do their best to be on the wave of progressive change! The EUMMAS membership allows us:

  • to expand the professional and academic networks;
  • to promote scientific activity;
  • to open new opportunities to improve the educational process;
  • to follow the current innovations in the labour market;
  • to increase personal growth and a host of other things for development!

 

MARKETING IS NOT ALCHEMIA, BUT SUPER-LOGICAL

Expert opinion is important in teaching, especially when it is closely related to the disciplines being studied. On March 23, 2021, students of the Department of Marketing within the discipline of Maria Minchenko "competitive analysis" were able to communicate with practitioners and learn practical recommendations for resale and business loyalty.

Speaker Roman Kumar Vias (CEO of Qmarketing Academy, mentor at 500 startups & Plug & Play) spoke about the features of audience segmentation based on Jobs-to-be-done, testing hypotheses in marketing retention and combining different channels to maximize business competitiveness.
