WE SUPPORT THE ENVIRONMENTAL INITIATIVES OF YOUNG PEOPLE!

From April 24 to 28, a series of useful events "Eko-week" took place. What is it? This is a youth project in the eco-theme, which is organized by students of the Institute of Business, Economics and Management of the Sumy State University and is supported by the Youth Policy Department of the Sumy City Council.

But in addition, the co-organizer of "Eko-week" was the team of the Erasmus+ project of Jean Monnet "Healthy Economy and Policy: EU values for Ukraine"  that is realized on the Department of marketing of Sumy State University.

Within the framework of the "Eko-week" events, the dissemination of project ideas took place, the EU experience in the field was disseminated health and welfare of citizens.

The next events took place during "Eko-week":

  • Eco-race, during which we will contribute to the cleanliness of the city (gloves and garbage bags will be provided);
  • Workshop "Eco-habits" (let's talk about ecological habits and play a simulation game);
  • Master class on shopper painting (the master class is free, we will provide all the materials);
  • Training on project management (during the training, a mini-grant was drawn for the implementation of the project of social action of an ecological direction with the support of the youth policy department of the SMR).

As promised, everything turned out cool, interesting and youthful.

ACADEMIC MOBILITY OF #NEVGAMOVNI IN EKA OF APPLIED UNIVERSITY WITHIN THE ERASMUS+ PROGRAM

From April 18 to 24, 2023, Oleksiy Lyulov, Tetyana Pimonenko, and Liliya Lyulova participated in the academic mobility program at EKA of Applied University in Latvia.

The mobility program included participation in the International Academic Week 2023, which was rich in various lectures, trainings, and master classes, including topics such as the relationship between business and art in research and entrepreneurship, storytelling and gamification at cultural events and marketing, and various artistic techniques in educational processes.

Additionally, during the mobility, representatives of the department had the opportunity to hold a series of meetings with management and instructors at EKA of Applied University, which allowed for the identification of further directions for joint cooperation, opportunities for submitting joint grant applications, conducting joint virtual mobility classes, and more.

We thank the EKA team for the fruitful and eventful International Academic Week 2023 within the Erasmus+ program.

WE TEACH COLLEAGUES FROM VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

From April 18 to 24, the Center for the Development of Personnel Potential implemented the training program "Management of a vocational and technical education institution: components of success". As part of the program, Maria Minchenko, associate professor of the department of marketing, conducted training meetings on the topic "Using marketing technologies for the promotion of educational and additional paid services in an educational institution".

Participants successfully mastered new marketing methods and strategies that will help them effectively promote educational and additional paid services in their educational institutions. During the training, the participants learned such technologies as Internet marketing, social media, email marketing, creativity in promotion, etc. 

KEY TARGETS OF THE EU TRANSITION TO CLIMATE NEUTRALITY

Marketers continue to study the EU's experience in ensuring climate-neutral development.

As part of the implementation of the Jean Monet project "Carbon Free Economy: Best Practices for Ukraine" (620232-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE), on April 19, 2023, bachelor students of the Department of Marketing took part in an online webinar dedicated to the main purposes of implementing the Green Deal policy and ensuring climate neutrality.

Olena Chygryn talked about climate change and its causes, the global scale and consequences of anthropogenic impact on the environment, the evolution of global initiatives to prevent and eliminate the consequences of climate change, and the main goal and tasks of the European Green Agreement. Issues related to the specifics of the manifestation of the consequences of climate change in Ukraine, as well as domestic integration into the new environmental policy, provoked a lively discussion.

ORGANIZATION AND PARTICIPATION IN EXHIBITIONS: INSIGHTS AND EXPERIENCE

This time, second-year marketers (course"Marketing Communications", teacher Ivanov Oleksandr) joined a webinar by an experienced specialist, Yana Selina, commercial director of "Indychka" LLC, dedicated to organizing and participating in exhibitions. There were many insights and interesting experiences regarding communication with potential consumers and buyers, monitoring market trends, and evaluating the position of your company on the market.

EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE AND PREREQUISITES TO CARBON-NEUTRAL ECONOMY TRANSFORMATION

The Restless continue to implement Jean Mon's project "Carbo Free Economy: The Best Practices for Ukraine" (620232-EPP-1-2020-1-UA-EPPJMO-MODULE).

On April 6, 2023, postgraduate students of the Department of Marketing and the Department of Financial Technologies and Entrepreneurship attended a lecture-discussion dedicated to the effects of climate change and the prerequisites to carbon-neutral economy transformation.

Olena Chygryn told about the features of the global climate crisis, the dynamics of growth of indicators of anthropogenic environment pollution, ways to ensure global climate neutrality, and the implementation of the tasks and provisions of the Paris Climate Agreement.

The participants were interested in the issue of Ukraine's obligations and nationally determined contribution to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 2023.

PRACTICE-ORIENTED TRAINING OF OUR TEACHERS

For more than 2 months, the training of teachers of the marketing department took place within the framework of the "Basic course for trainers in the field of learning and adult education", which is based on the Curriculum GlobALE program.

Studying under this program will allow teachers of the marketing department to develop their skills and knowledge in such areas as didactics of adult education, course design and development, assessment and analysis of learning effectiveness, as well as socio-economic aspects of adult education.

Yana KRYVYCH and Maria MINCHENKO, after successfully defending their final theses, received certificates that confirm the acquired knowledge and skills and will allow them to work successfully in the field of training and education of adults.

KEEPING THE WAVE OF RESTLESSNESS AWAY

Recently, our students (gr. MK-21), within the scope of studying the discipline of SMM (teacher Yana KRYVICH) joined a webinar, where they sought an answer to the question of whether artificial intelligence can replace SMM specialists⁉️
  What they talked about:
- Social networks now and artificial intelligence. How algorithms keep your attention and increase screen time for increased monetization.
- Humans VS machines. How knowledge of the working principles of algorithms helps to bring projects in social networks to a new level.
- Market demand for SMM specialists in 2023. Knowledge and skills needed to get the best projects in a crisis of increased competition.
- How exactly can AI be used in SMM. The most relevant services and their features, global experience and practice of SMM agencies.

MARKETING QUIZ: THE FULL GAME

On April 2, the Department of Marketing held a marketing quiz in the Congress Center of Sumy State University, in which more than 100 participants (12 teams of schoolchildren and college students) took part.
Each team was formed randomly, which made it possible to get to know each other, find new like-minded friends and plunge into the world of relentless marketing.
Creative teams won point by point and the fierce battle continued until the last round.
Sweet gifts, interesting books and a sea of emotions - this is all the prize fund that the winners received for their knowledge and teamwork.

On April 13, 2023, as part of studying the discipline "SMM" (group MK-21, teacher Kryvych Yana) students joined the SMM DAY online conference.

HOW DO DOMESTIC BRANDS ENTER THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET?

The Restless continue to study the experience of professionals. This time, marketers (MK.m-21 group) within the discipline "Brand Management" (teacher Olena Chygryn) joined the webinar by Maria Sydorenko, an expert, and owner of the SMM cooperative, who spoke about the peculiarities of domestic brands entering the international market.
