GET TO KNOW THE ANALYTICAL CAPABILITIES OF EXCEL

On June 30, 2023, students and PhD students of the Department of Marketing became participants in virtual mobility on the topic "Excel as an analytical tool for conducting scientific research."

The speaker of the event was Ulyana KOLOMIETS, PhD candidate, CERGE-EI, Charles University (Czech Republic).

During the seminar, the following issues were considered:

  1. work with a large volume of data, filtering and sorting;
  2. graphs;
  3. general rule for writing formulas and using functions;
  4. autofill;
  5. tables and smart tables.
The event made it possible to deepen knowledge about the use of Excel to improve the skills of writing scientific papers.

PRINCIPLES OF PROGRAMS AND PRACTICES OF GREEN CAMPUSES IMPLEMENTATION IN THE EU

The Department of Marketing continues to implement Jean Monet's project "Green Campus Strategies: EU Experience for Ukrainian Universities" (2022-2025, 101085427 — GCAM — ERASMUS-JMO-2022-HEI-TCH-RSCH) and research innovative practices of building university campuses based on the principles of sustainable environmental balanced development.

On May 30, 2023, as part of the course "EU Cohesion Policy: Green Campus Strategies for Sustainable Development", Professor Tetyana Vasilieva and Doctor of Economics, Professor Olena Chygryn held an intensive webinar dedicated to the key approaches and principles of the formation and development of green academic campuses. The main emphasis of the event was the actualisation of social and environmental responsibility and the building of a sustainable way of thinking.

The online meeting was attended by more than 80 bachelor's and master's students majoring in "Marketing", "Management", "Economics and Business", "Finance and Entrepreneurship" at Sumy State University and Poltava University of Economics and Trade.

Speakers of the Faculty of Economics spoke about the goals and principles of forming green campuses, their role in mitigating climate change, and modern practices of organising green campuses.

Using the examples of the Technical University (Košice, Slovakia) and the Czech University of Natural Sciences (Prague, Czech Republic), the audience discussed successful examples of the implementation of green campus practices.

SCIENTIFIC INTERNSHIP AT THE SILESIAN UNIVERSITY

As part of the International Interdisciplinary Summer School "Intragen", Olena Chygryn began a scientific internship at the University of Silesia (Gliwice, Poland). The internship topic is "Smart Public Space in Prosumer Energy Transition".

During the ten days of the intensive program, 30 participants from universities from 7 countries will attend 60 hours of lectures, seminars, laboratory exercises and familiarisation visits. A rich curriculum dedicated to energy management in a sustainable public space was accompanied by classes in Polish culture and language, visits to industry and community activities.

The leading topics of the school are intelligent technologies in prosumer energy. The internship program covers various thematic areas, in particular: renewable energy technologies, the application of materials of the future, the operation of smart urban space, architectural innovations and much more.

AN IMPRESSIVE THEMATIC PALETTE OF RESEARCH

On June 8, 2023, pre-diploma practice reports has successfully held. Marketing students of the 4th year shared their experience gained during internships at enterprises of various industries.

Students presented their vision on the main trends of flower markets, marketing strategies of the photography market, the specifics of marketing activities of meat, dairy and agricultural and telecommunication companies, a flower shop, an educational institution, as well as awareness of the goals of sustainable development.

The thematic palette of the presented studies was impressive. It was felt that the students put their soul into each project.

VALUABLE KNOWLEDGE OF MODERN METHODS OF ANALYSIS

On June 19, 2023, the scientific festival "Green energy towards the Carbon-free economy: the best EU practices" took place.

The main speakers of the event were the head of the Department of Marketing, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Oleksiy LYULOV and Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Tetyana PIMONENKO.

They talked about the tools and principles of bibliometric analysis, the features of hypothesis testing and the application of the ANOVA statistical method using STATA software.

The festival attracted a wide range of participants from different places, thanks to which they actively interacted with the speakers and asked questions during the discussion.

The event allowed to exchange of experience between the participants and provided the participants with valuable knowledge about modern analytical methods used in scientific work.

LEARN THE FEATURES OF ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION IN THE EU

On June 6, 2023, an open lecture "Environmentally responsible behavior is the basis for the development of green campuses" was held.

The main speaker of the event was Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Tetyana Vasilieva.

It covered such important aspects as the peculiarities of the formation of "green" consciousness and environmental education in the EU.

In addition, students and graduate students of the Department of Management named after Oleg Balatsky shared their experience regarding the features of green campuses of universities in Great Britain, Poland, and Germany. Their stories and knowledge added to the overall picture and facilitated the exchange of valuable information.

The event was successful and made the participants think about various aspects of environmental education.

The co-organizers of the Competition were educational institutions from Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Serbia, Scotland and other countries.

REVEAL THE PRACTICES OF GREEN CAMPUSES IN THE EU

On June 3, 2023, the open lecture "Principles of implementation of programs and practices of green campuses in the EU" was successfully held.

The main speaker of the event was Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Tetyana Vasilieva.

During the event, students learned about the best practices of implementing green campuses in the EU.

Students and graduate students of the Department of Economic Cybernetics shared experience of organizing the green campuses of universities in Sweden, Japan and Poland.

The event was a successful initiative aimed at raising awareness and understanding of the specifics of green campus implementations in the EU.

BE ECO-FRIENDLY

On June 6, 2023, an interesting and useful presentation on the topic "Today's trend: Eco-friendly" was held for students of the "Public Health" specialty (GR-001 group) during "Marketing and Communication of Medical and Social Facilities" lesson (lecturer Liliia Khomenko).
The main speaker of the event was PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing Lyudmila Sager .
During the class, the following questions were considered:
• living in an eco-friendly style as a manifestation of caring for the environment;
• the first steps on the Eco-friendly path and habits of an advanced level;
• a view on shopping and lifestyle from the point of view of ecological attitude;
• Eco-friendly brands and organizations in Ukraine and the world.
The presentation was held within the implementation of the Jean Monet module project "Healthy Economy and Policy: European Values for Ukraine" (the project No. 101047530 – HEPE4U – ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH)
The event turned out to be extremely interesting and made me think about my habits and beliefs.

#NEVGAMOVNI ABOUT GREEN CAMPUSES

On June 1, 2023, an open lecture "Effects and benefits of green campuses functioning" was held.

Tetyana Vasylieva and students of the Department of Marketing talked about:

  1. green campuses of universities in Germany and Poland;
  2. European standards and best practices for SDG implementation;
  3. the impact of Green Campus development on the formation of conscious citizenship in various spheres of social life.

The project is co-financed by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union as part of the "Green Campus Strategies: EU experience for Ukrainian universities" module.
