Training series on smart waste management in business: European experience and its implementation in Ukraine

Project implementer Anna Rosokhata held a training series on socially responsible waste management with the course participants as part of implementing the Jean Monet project. As part of the events, the issues of garbage accumulation, sorting, and disposal were considered. Students, having familiarized themselves with cases and examples of European companies, offered their ideas on conducting a socially responsible business through the intelligent handling of waste, its collection, sorting, recycling, and even use for energy (incineration). The proposed results consider sustainable development goals and specific examples of enterprises operating in the Sumy region and Ukraine. Students were inspired by the opportunity to be creative and generate ideas for innovations that could benefit society and protect the environment.

Congratulations on successfully defending doctoral dissertation!

On January 10, project executor Natalia Letunovska defended her dissertation on the topic "Methodological basics of healthy development implementation in the national economy" for the degree of Doctor of Economic Sciences at the Specialized Academic Council D55.051.06 of Sumy State University.
The work is devoted to developing the theoretical, methodological, and methodical basis for ensuring the healthy development of the national economy in the state administration system. Among other things, the relevance of this study is confirmed by the development of values enshrined in the Sustainable Development Goals. The research aimed at the development of the concept, mechanisms, and methodology of assessing the healthy development of the national economy, proposed by Natalya, fully corresponds to such values (in particular, SDG 3 - "Ensuring a healthy lifestyle and promoting well-being for everyone at any age"), is relevant and timely.
We congratulate Natalia and wish her further professional success, inspiration, and inexhaustible energy!
