Dissemination of project results at an international conference

On September 26-29, 2023, the project manager, Liudmyla Saher, participated in the conference "Social Development to the Values of Ethics-Technology-Society" (Poland). The conference discussed the issues of green economy, sustainable development, economic security, legal and ethical aspects of implementing innovative and ecological innovations, the development of cognitive technologies, and the use of artificial intelligence in the economy and society.
As part of the dissemination of project results, there was also a discussion of the importance of spreading the principles of cohesion policy, including the formation of inclusive economic development and overcoming the negative impact of crisis factors.

 

PROBLEM LECTURE ON ISSUES OF HEALTHY TERRITORIAL DEVELOPMENT: DOES NON-CENTRAL REGIONAL UNITS OF THE COUNTRY NEED SMART SPECIALIZATION

This week ended with a lecture by Nataliia Letunovska, Ph.D., Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing, which is part of a comprehensive course within the framework of implementing the Jean Monet project "Healthy Regional Development: Best European Practices." The lecture dealt with issues of regional economic growth models with an emphasis on the features of the healthy smart-specialization model as an innovative type of regional development, which is gaining relevance in the conditions of the dominance of the paradigm of the need to ensure the uniformity of the dynamics of territorial development. Regional systems cause the most significant interest in this issue. The lecturer emphasized that in today's conditions, it is crucial not only to stabilize the pace of economic development and preserve the environment but also to ensure equal opportunities for the realization of human development in certain regions, which can be expressed, first of all, through equal opportunities to ensure health, personality development, culture. The lecture provoked a lively discussion. The students expressed their thoughts on ways to ensure the development of different territories of the country, both central and peripheral. Also, they gave their opinion on the problems of a social nature, in particular in health care.

RESPONSIBLE CONSUMPTION AND ATTITUDES TOWARDS HEALTH: TOOLS FOR PROMOTING A CORRECT DIET AMONG YOUTH

This week, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing, Candidate of Economic Sciences Nataliia Letunovska held one of the lectures from the course cycle "Healthy behavior and motivation of consumers: EU and Ukraine", which was devoted to the promotion of healthy consumption among the population, in particular, young people aged 18 to 25 years. Together with the students, a discussion was organized on the effectiveness of specific marketing tools for promoting the idea of responsible consumption of healthy food, such as fruits and vegetables, for the formation of a proper diet among the most active part of the country's population, who are also essential influencers of opinions in the society. The discussion of the issues provided an opportunity to reveal important and interesting insights regarding the most effective marketing tools to influence the target audience for the formation of sustainable eating habits among young people.

NEW KNOWLEDGE IN RELATED FIELDS OF HUMAN HEALTH: SEMINAR ON THE FEATURES OF THE INFLUENCE OF ALCOHOL ON VISUAL PERCEPTION

Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing Nataliia Letunovska participated in a scientific seminar organized by the Institute of Public Health of the University of Liverpool, conducted by Ph.D. Senior Lecturer Alexis Makin, who is a specialist in the field of neuro research, which is devoted to the analysis of the work of the human brain about its perception of visual symmetry under the influence of various factors In particular, at this seminar, attention was paid to the effect of alcohol consumption on the visual perception of information by the brain. The research results caused lively interest on the part of the audience and an active discussion. Participation in this event provided invaluable experience and inspiration for conducting research in related fields of activity and formed the awareness that health science has an unlimited range of questions that scientists and practitioners still have to solve.

The dissemination of project results at the International Scientific Online Conference "Innovations, Social and Economic Challenges"

The implementer of the project, Doctor of Economic Sciences, senior lecturer of the Department of Marketing, Anna Rosohata, together with undergraduate students of the "Marketing" specialty, Kateryna Shevchenko, and Kazimirova Veronika, prepared speeches and successfully presented them at the International Scientific Online Conference "Innovations, Social and Economic Challenges" (Sumy, May 23-24, 2023). The reports were on the topics: "Analysis of the waste management system in Sweden" and "Promotion of household waste sorting in Ukraine." The revealed issues are topical and interesting for society. The proposed approaches to improving the situation in Ukraine based on the European experience in the context of the researched topic, based on conducted research, provide prospects for further research and dissemination of knowledge in this regard. Based on the results of the speeches, abstracts of reports were submitted to the collection of scientific works of the conference.

SEMINAR ON PRODUCTIVITY IN MARKETING AND SUSTAINABLE AND HEALTHY APPROACHES TO BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Members of the Jean Monnet project team "Healthy Economy and Policy: European Values for Ukraine", Nataliia Letunovska and Anna Rosokhata, started their internship at the University of Liverpool (United Kingdom). At the beginning of July, several meetings were held with fellow scientists from the Institute of Public Health and the School of Management. Nataliia and Anna also attended a lecture by Dr. Ofer Mintz, Head of the Department of Marketing at the Business School of the University of Technology Sydney (Australia) on the role of marketing during the COVID-19 pandemic and the development of effective marketing strategies, focusing on its productivity. Nataliia and Anna presented their scientific research on sustainable marketing, market research of healthy products, and promoting a healthy lifestyle. It is appropriate to note that these issues are of interest and are being actively researched; therefore, the exchange of experience and collaboration between Ukraine and the United Kingdom are relevant and of mutual interest.

DISSEMINATION OF PROJECT RESULTS AT AN INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE

The implementer of the project - J. Monet "HEPE4U" module, Anna Rosohata, shared her achievements within the framework of the international scientific and practical conference "Economy, finance, accounting, management and law in Ukraine and the world", which took place on May 23, 2023 in Izmail, Ukraine . Materials and participation were prepared together with Hlib Usovych, a 3rd-year student of the "Marketing" specialty of the EN-03/1mk group. In order to disseminate the results, an analytical study on the topic "Potential of "waste to energy" solutions in Ukraine" was conducted and formalized as part of the "Ecological Economy and Sustainable Development" conference section. TO BE ECO-FRIENDLY

On June 6, 2023, an interesting and useful presentation on the topic "Today's trend: Eco-friendly" was held for students of the "Public Health" specialty (GR-001 group) during the "Marketing and Communication of Medical and Social Facilities" lesson (lecturer Liliia Khomenko).
The event's main speaker was the head of Jean Monet module project "Healthy Economy and Policy: European Values for Ukraine" (project No. 101047530 – HEPE4U – ERASMUS-JMO-2021-HEI-TCH-RSCH) Lyudmila Saher .
During the class, the following questions were considered:
• living in an eco-friendly style as a manifestation of caring for the environment;
• the first steps on the Eco-friendly path and habits of an advanced level;
• a view on shopping and lifestyle from the point of view of ecological attitude;
• Eco-friendly brands and organizations in Ukraine and the world.
The event was extremely interesting and made me think about my habits and beliefs.

REGIONAL FEATURES OF BUSINESS IMPLEMENTATION: RESPONSIBLE APPROACHES AND PRACTICAL TOOLS

In March, associate professor of the Department of Marketing Nataliia Letunovska held a series of lectures and practical sessions on the issues of starting and developing a business of regional importance for correspondence marketing students. During these classes, such aspects as the target orientation of the business, the issue of focusing attention on a particular group of stakeholders when promoting a local business project, and the methodology of successfully drawing up a business plan for this type of business was discussed. Attention was paid to examples of business development in healthy snacks production, the Sumy producer "Dobroizh" and other well-known Ukrainian brands of healthy food products. These classes became the basis for the students' choice of course projects from the discipline "Business Planning" and their successful defense.

CREATIVE IDEAS FOR MARKETING PROMOTION OF THE BUSINESS PROJECT OF HEALTHY PRODUCTS: MARKETERS HAVE EVERYTHING IN THEIR POWER

At the end of the academic year, as a summary of the acquired skills and knowledge in planning and strategic business development, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing Nataliia Letunovska held an online meeting with undergraduate students as part of a class discussion on issues of a healthy approach and social responsibility of business in Ukraine and abroad. Together with the lecturer, the students discussed the advantages and disadvantages of implementing such projects and shared their knowledge about the activities of similar companies and brands that focus on promoting the health-centric features of their products in their policies. And, of course, how could one do without a creative approach, because the class ended with a presentation of the student’s own developments regarding the marketing promotion of business in the healthy segment using Brainstorming and Spider Diagram tools.

MEMBER OF THE JEAN MONNET PROJECT TEAM "HEALTHY ECONOMY AND POLICY: VALUES FOR UKRAINE" ATTENDED HEALTH TRAINING FOR UKRAINIANS

The winter of 2023 ended for project team member Nataliia Letunovska with extraordinary and exciting training as part of the international project "Ukraine without chronic pain", organized by the Integrative Laboratory iPanLAB of Haifa University (Israel) and the DoctorThinking educational platform (Ukraine). On February 26, the speakers Dr. Pavlo Goldshtein and the famous coach Yuliia Zatulovsky introduced the training participants to the main trends in pain science (just imagine that about 20-30% of the world's population suffers from chronic pain and in Ukraine 60% of such people) and the systemic approach to understanding pain in the body. The project envisages a series of online seminars during March-April, in which Nataliia will participate. As one of the team members, she will also participate in conducting a scientific study on identifying factors that affect the occurrence of stress and painful feelings among Ukrainians.

IMPLEMENTATION OF THE PROJECT IN SMALL GROUPS

In February 2023, For more in-depth and effective work and the project's success, the project realizators implemented the project ideas for students and young people across works in small groups at the seminars, where the participants immediately spoke and expressed their thoughts. Dissemination of project ideas was reflected on February 16 in the framework of the "Service Marketing" discipline, where students in the 3rd year of the "Marketing" specialty had a real competition for knowledge of the basic principles of client-oriented business and service. Thus, they created and solved crosswords and actively discussed alternatives for humane, healthy behavior of representatives of all economic and economic activity branches in the context of the given topic. In addition, the topics of decision-making related to the development of the Ukrainian economy based on European values and experience were subject to discussion; decisions, which in the long run, will be able to have a positive cumulative effect both for the economy and society as a whole.
