Students of the Marketing major (discipline: “Marketing Communications”, lecturer Yana KRYVYCH, “Customer Experience Management”, lecturer Yevhenia ZIABINA) continue to get acquainted with the stories of successful Ukrainian entrepreneurs within the framework of the Online Business Laboratory 2025 from Genius.

Oleksii Durnev is the founder of a YouTube channel with an audience of over 1.39 million subscribers, an entrepreneur and creator who turned content into a full-fledged business.

Topic of the meeting: [Q&A] How to turn content into a successful business without compromising your conscience. How to make money on content and remain yourself?

Oleksiy frankly talked about his journey from blogger to entrepreneur, about the team, work principles and honesty in the media business:

“The most valuable resource of a person is time. A person should understand that they spent their time on you for a reason.”

Oleksiy shared practical advice for those who dream of developing their own YouTube channel or media project: “Are you an expert in your field? Congratulations, you can already launch a channel!”

He spoke about the theory of “dopamine surges” and explained why it is better to publish short and long videos on different channels, and also gave recommendations for a content plan:

“Make 4 videos from 12 to 20 minutes. Have a constant supply — systematic publications are important. Teach your audience to do this.”

The meeting with Oleksiy Durnev became another example for the students that sincerity, systematicity and respect for the viewer are not just principles, but a strategy for success.
