UNFORGETTABLE VOLUNTEERING EXPERIENCE: PROJECT HOPE IN POLAND

Lisa Shchegelska, a 2nd year marketing student, recently returned from international volunteering and shared her impressions of the trip: “Together with volunteers from Ukraine, France, Poland, Italy and Armenia, we held daily workshops for Ukrainian children who were forced to leave their homes due to the war: games, creativity, languages, sports – everything to support them and give them a sense of safety💛.

The most striking event was Europe Day on May 9. I was part of the team that talked about opportunities abroad. It was a great chance to share my own experience. And I already know that after my words, one boy applied for Erasmus+ – and that is incredibly inspiring ✨.

I also held a workshop in Polish for the first time – a challenge that definitely helped me grow.

And the greatest pleasure I got from being able to share Ukrainian culture and show how rich and interesting it is 🇺🇦.

This experience has demonstrated once again that even the smallest steps can have a big impact.”
