CONCEPT, PLANNING AND PROMOTION OF THE BRAND OF THE CITY SUMY

On March 17, 2026, marketing students joined a meeting on the experience of creating and promoting the brand of the city Sumy.

A common vision for the brand of the city Sumy was formed during the event, the participants, together with the speaker – Deputy Director of the CU “Sumy Promotion Agency” Olga SKRYPNYK. The key components of the city’s identity, its values, unique features and associations that arise in people when mentioning Sumy were considered.

Students actively participated in the discussion: they asked questions and offered their own ideas for the development of the city. Among the proposals were the creation of co-working spaces, art spaces and modern places for youth. The participants were also interested in how to effectively promote the city so that young people stay in Sumy, especially considering its frontline status.

The meeting became a platform for exchanging ideas and forming new approaches to the development of the city, which can become the basis for creating a modern and attractive brand of Sumy.

The event was held within the framework of the disciplines “Public Relations” (gr. MK-41) and “Service Marketing” (gr. MK-31, lecturer Liliia KHOMENKO), “Consumer Behavior” (gr. MK-51, lecturer Nataliia LETUNOVSKA)
