In early March, Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing Nataliia Letunovska presented a report on her internship at the University of Liverpool, which lasted from January to February 2025 as part of the Twinning Program initiative. This program aims to support Ukrainian teachers and students through cooperation between the University of Liverpool and Sumy State University.
Nataliia shared her impressions of her second trip to the UK and talked about new scientific and educational opportunities. Together with Senior Lecturer of the Department of Marketing Anna Rosokhata, she completed an internship at two departments: the School of Management (Department of Marketing) and the Institute of Public Health (Department of Psychology, Appetite and Obesity). This allowed her to join workshops and scientific events of both structural units. The internship program includes various educational activities: seminars and lectures in online and face-to-face formats, study tours, access to different academic and statistical databases, and work in modern co-working centers.
Nataliia and Anna have started an experimental study at the Human Ingestive Lab. They analyze how different types of video advertising affect people’s eating behavior and attitude to food waste management. Anna, together with a member of her research team, “Post-war energy restoration of Ukraine: optimization of waste management taking into account population health, environmental, investment, tax determinants” Daria Lytvynenko, will work at the laboratory in collaboration with Emma Boyland, Deputy Executive Dean for the Institute of Public Health at the University of Liverpool. There is still a lot of challenging but exciting work ahead.
We wish the participants of the Twinning program successful implementation of their scientific plans and confirmation of their research hypotheses!
