From mid-November 2025, Nataliia Letunovska, Doctor of Economics and Associate Professor of the Department of Marketing, began a research internship at the Silesian University of Technology (Poland), with its main building in Gliwice and the Faculty of Organization and Management serving as the internship base in Zabrze. This research project involves conducting a study of consumers’ perceptions of multi-context marketing stimuli using the tools of the university’s neuroimaging laboratory.
Natalia’s host professor is Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Dean of the Faculty of Organization and Management, Aleksandra Kusior. This internship was made possible thanks to the CRASP and Elsevier program, which aims to support scientific research by young scientists from Ukraine.
Nataliia has already had productive meetings at the university, which enable Sumy State University to participate in the interesting and extraordinary initiatives of the Department of Linguistics at the Silesian University of Technology, focusing on educational interaction between students from Polish and Ukrainian universities as part of their preparation for projects in the field of sustainable development. Nataliia also had the opportunity to gain practical experience in conducting behavioral research in the university’s neuroimaging laboratory. In particular, the laboratory specialist Justyna Romanek shared her experience of conducting research using fNIRS equipment, with which she investigates the perception of the visualized context in 2D and 3D environments, which can be useful for understanding, in particular, marketers when developing modern static and dynamic communication materials to attract the attention of the target audience.
The Department of Marketing at Sumy State University wishes Nataliia inspiration to tackle the scientific tasks of her research and gain new, valuable experience in the field of neuroresearch.
