Recently, students of the Marketing Department at Sumy State University returned from the dynamic youth battle “Cities of the Brave,” held at Yurii Fedkovych Chernivtsi National University. But the story didn’t end there!
To share their energy and experience, the participants organized an internal Q&A session where they revealed everything – from behind-the-scenes moments of the forum to tips on overcoming the fear of taking the “first step.”
The meeting was held in an open, sincere dialogue. Student speakers shared their experiences presenting the unique qualities of their hometown, Sumy, and discussed what it was like to compete against teams from eight different regions of Ukraine.
Key insights from the meeting:
- Expectations vs reality – students admitted they were initially nervous about the scale of the event, but the hospitality of Chernivtsi and the team support helped them feel comfortable;
- marketing is about courage — such forums are a perfect platform to develop skills, build networks, and present your personal brand (as well as the brand of your city);
- strength in unity – the forum proved that despite distances, Ukrainian youth share common values and a desire for change.
