On July 25-27, 2023, teachers and graduate students of the Department of Marketing became participants in the professional development program “Self-organizational maps of Kohonen in the work of a scientist.”<\/p>\n

The speaker of the events was Olena ZARUTSKA – doctor of economic sciences, associate professor; Head of the Finance, Banking and Insurance Department of the University of Customs and Finance (Dnipro).<\/p>\n

During the seminars, the following issues were considered:<\/p>\n

  1. Kohonen’s method of self-organizing maps, its advantages and limitations.<\/li>\n
  2. ViscoverySOMine software features.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Requirements for a group of indicators. Algorithm for evaluation of input data.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Topology of the map and interpretation of the distribution of indicator values.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Evaluation of patterns of homogeneous groups.<\/span><\/li>\n
  6. Study of changes in homogeneous groups in dynamics.<\/span><\/li>\n
  7. Trajectories of objects on the map, mass migrations and research into their causes.<\/span><\/li>\n
  8. Three-level analysis of results at the aggregated, comparative and specific level.<\/span><\/li>\n
  9. Prospects for the use of Kohonen maps in research.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The conducted activities made it possible to deepen knowledge in terms of scientific activity\u00a0<\/span>organization of\u00a0 using Kohonen’s self-organizing maps.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
